Hollowwake
A turn-based RPG about climbing an endless tower to find god - without ever being told what god is.
Trailer
The Game
You wake with no name and no memory at the foot of an endless tower. Everyone climbs to find god - but no one agrees on what waits at the summit, only that the ones who reach each new floor are changed by it.
Cerulean Climb pairs Octopath Traveler's break-and-boost combat with Dragon Quest's head-on battle framing, presented through hand-drawn pixel sprites in lit, layered 3D environments - a look usually reserved for big studios, built solo in Godot.
What It Is
Shatter an enemy's guard, then stack saved turns into one devastating strike. Every turn is a risk-and-reward decision.
Hand-drawn pixel sprites set in lit, layered 3D environments - depth-of-field, dynamic lighting, and a handcrafted sense of place.
A floor-by-floor ascent, each floor its own self-contained world with unique trials and a boss. Nobody knows if there's a top.
You climb to find god - and every floor changes what you thought god was. A story that keeps shifting beneath your feet.
About Hollowwake
Hollowwake is the work of one developer building the kind of game he always wanted to play - a hand-drawn world with real tactical depth and a mystery at its core. Cerulean Climb is its first project.
Built from the ground up in Godot, with a complete, polished vertical slice already playable across Windows and macOS, with controller support (work in progress) - and a tower that's only just begun to rise.
